  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for filling)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for filling)
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apple cider reduction by boiling 2 cups of apple cider until reduced to 1/2 cup. Cool completely.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, spices, and salt. Cream together butter and sugars in another bowl until fluffy. Mix in egg, vanilla, cooled cider, and buttermilk.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients without overmixing.
